Web Project Manager

Beyond Marketing | Fort Mill, SC 32-hour work week | Remote, with one day a week together in our Fort Mill office | Charlotte metro area

About Us

Beyond Marketing is a high-touch, boutique digital marketing agency in Fort Mill, SC. Established in 2013, we design and build custom websites, run SEO and paid search programs, and handle branding and design work for clients of all sizes, from startups to trusted brands, in industries ranging from aviation and manufacturing to healthcare, renewable energy, and nonprofits.

Our mission is to positively impact the lives of our employees, exceed the expectations of our clients, and be a valued community partner. Employees come first in that sentence on purpose. We want this to be a place people are glad they landed.

The Role

The Web Project Manager keeps our website and design projects moving, and keeps everyone involved in them in sync.

A given day might include scoping and quoting a new website, walking a client through a page layout, checking on a copy deck, and making sure the developer, designer, SEO specialist, and copywriter each have what they need to do their best work. You are the person who sees the whole picture, which is how projects launch on time and nothing quietly slips through the cracks.

You will work closely with clients and with every member of our team, and you will have real ownership over how the work runs. If you enjoy bringing order to a lot of moving parts, we think you will like this role.

What You’ll Do

• Manage website and design projects from kickoff through launch
• Build project timelines and help the team and our clients stay on track
• Coordinate day to day with developers, designers, SEO specialists, copywriters, and clients
• Prepare quotes and scopes for new projects
• Assist with page layouts and content mapping to keep builds moving forward
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients during a project, sharing progress and raising changes or delays early
• Gather content, images, brand assets, and approvals from clients, and follow up warmly and persistently when they are running behind
• Review sites before launch for accuracy, responsiveness, and working links and forms
• Coordinate launch day and the handoff afterward, including client training and the transition to our SEO and support teams
• Watch for requests that fall outside the original scope, and work with the client on a revised quote when they do
• Keep project files, documentation, and approvals organized and current

We are a small team, so the role naturally stretches beyond this list now and then. We pitch in for each other, and you will have plenty of support when it does.

The Heart of the Role

Most of this job can be learned along the way. Two qualities are harder to teach, and they are the ones that make this role work.

Communication. You write clearly, you keep people in the loop, and you are comfortable picking up the phone when an email thread starts going in circles. When something on a project goes sideways, your instinct is to tell the client early and work through it together.

Organization. You keep track of the details on your own, and your teammates and clients can count on you to know where a project stands.

If that sounds like the way you naturally work, we would love to hear from you.

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, candidates will have strong project management experience and a working knowledge of design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with Figma and Canva. Agency experience and familiarity with WordPress are helpful as well.

That said, we hire for who you are before what you know. We believe skills can be learned, and we are genuinely open to someone who does not check every box but brings the right character and attitude. If this role excites you and you are missing a piece or two, please apply anyway and tell us about it.

Culture Is Most Important To Us

Our Core Values are not in a three-ring binder collecting dust. They are the company’s North Star, and we talk about them often:

Be An Advocate. Have Integrity. Deliver Amazing Service. Be Passionate. Be a Community Partner. Continually Learn. Be Objective. Show Gratitude. Offer Encouragement. Be Humble. Enjoy the Journey and Have Fun.

More than anything, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is a pleasure to work alongside, advocates for their clients, and enjoys the people around them. We would love to find someone dynamic who wants a role that challenges them and still leaves real room for a life outside of work.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is commensurate with experience.

• 32-hour work week
• Remote work, with one day a week in our Fort Mill office
• 401(k) with a 4% company match
• 4 weeks paid vacation
• 5 additional days of PTO

Location

We get together in the Fort Mill office one day a week, so we are looking for someone local to the Fort Mill and Charlotte area.
