Located in Fort Mill, SC, E.W. Process is an employee-owned organization specializing in industrial pumps. Having acquired MacGuire & Crawford and Lord & Company, the company has grown to annually exceed $23 million in sales and is in the midst of brand expansion.
The people of E.W. Process self-identify as engineers who specialize in moving liquids from A to B but who have little expertise in design and branding. Following their recent company acquisitions, E.W. Process was in search of help to develop a new website.
E.W. Process had previously worked with different marketers and agencies, and were invariably disappointed with the process. The C-Suite was having to prompt their marketers, rather than their marketers providing guidance, strategic vision and execution. Frustrated by poor service and missed deliverables, E.W. Process wanted to engage a boutique agency that they could build a relationship with and would be available on demand for both their digital and graphic design needs.
E.W. Process wanted a trusted partner.
As is typical for Beyond Marketing, E.W. Process learned of us via a word of mouth endorsement. President Don Bullard was referred to us by their former President, Chip Smith, who had heard compelling reviews regarding our work and service. After several meetings, Beyond Marketing was hired to provide solutions to E.W. Process’ marketing challenges.
Initially Beyond Marketing was tasked only with developing a new website, but we advised that they embark on a formal rebranding initiative to create uniformity and consistency. The revised plan was to:
Rebranding
Beyond Marketing delivered a suite of logos as well as a brand standards guide indicating how they are to be used online and in print. We also created a brand strategy for the enterprise should E.W. Process acquire other brands in the future.

Optimizing For the Web
Following a successful rebrand, the second phase focused on the development of new websites for each of the three E.W. Process divisions. Each site needed to be consistent in design and offer seamless navigation from one division to the next. Optimizing the sites for Google Search was paramount to ensure the site received increased site traffic from a more relevant audience.
Ongoing Marketing
Having launched the E.W. Process, MacGuire & Crawford and Lord & Company websites, Beyond Marketing has continued to support E.W. Process with ongoing SEO, graphic design for all stationery and trade show exhibits, and pay-per-click advertising. The company’s professional online presence and comprehensive marketing strategy has garnered exponential growth in site traffic month over month.
“The Beyond Marketing staff was very knowledgeable and professional. More importantly, they took great time and care to make sure the website and marketing materials they developed work for our company and industry. The experience and expertise of the Beyond Marketing team enabled them to provide suggestions that guided us down some paths we had not considered enhancing our marketing efforts.
Most of my interactions were with Melissa. She was always professional and helpful while maintaining a positive and supportive attitude. We certainly tried to break her by stretching some deadlines and throwing out some unusual requests, and she handled it all like a seasoned professional. I can’t thank her enough.
Everyone within our organization is thrilled with our new website, logos, and marketing materials that James and his team designed and developed for us. We certainly recommend them for anyone who needs something as simple basic marketing materials to an entirely new, sophisticated website. They will not disappoint.”
